Billy Tippit, previously a Partner with The BPA Partnership, has owned
his own architectural firm since 1986. He is a registered
Architect with the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners, with the
National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and hold
registrations in several other states. He is also a registered interior
designer with the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners. Billy
has lived in Houston since 1950, graduated from Klein High School,
earned his BS in Civil Technology, Building and Construction from the
University of Houston in 1972, and attended that institution's College
of Architecture. He has served on numerous Boards and Advisory
Councils and was selected as the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce Citizen
of the Year in 1993, and as North Harris Montgomery Community
College District's Business and Industry Council Small Business of
the Year in 1995.
Billy was involved in the
design and construction of several Houston landmarks, including: the
Museum of Health and Medical Science; Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center;
Harris County Administration Building (Commissioners Court Building);
the original Ronald McDonald House; Town & Country Village Shopping
Center; Astroworld Hotel Complex; the Marriott Hotel, Galleria; and the
Federal Express Cargo Facility at IAH.
